Formally known as the Lane Mansion, Magic Castle is a clubhouse where members, magicians and their guests can enjoy magical and mystical evenings. The Magic Castle officially opened for business in 1963 and has since become one of the most famous magical clubs in the world.
Thomas Heric, along with co-creators John Shrum and Milt Larsen took one of the four bedrooms inside the Magic Castle and created the Houdini Séance Room. The room was created in 1969. Personages from all over the world attend the séances in this magical and mystical room. President Ronald Reagan was a guest in the Houdini Séance Room in 1991. Other celebrity guests include Johnny Depp and Hugh Hefner.
Leo Kostka has been the resident medium at the Magic Castle since 1988 where he entertains with astounding attempts to reach spirits from beyond! Misty Lee is just one of the many famous performers in the Houdini Séance Room. Unlike a medium she dazzles her audience with the magical illusion of communicating with the dead.
